When people talk about the Maldives, they always refer to the high-end resorts but never do I hear of the local islands. Which is a shame :(. I wish more people were able to experience life here because it is definitely something to see. Discover the real Maldives here!
I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to explore the local island, Naifaru. Located in the Lhaviyani Atoll, this island is one of the hundreds that harbors the authentic culture of Maldivian natives.

Already learning so much about Maldivian culture and am looking forward to continuing the experience. I will be living in the Maldives working as a marine biologist in the area.
