The land of smiles, you can definitly expect to see a lot! In addition to the super friendly locals, you can also find delicious food, beautiful landscapes, and a party almost everywhere.
This is definitely a place for all travelers. If you’re more advesnterous, there are numerous remote islands to explore. If you like to play it more on the safe side there are many organized tours and excursions to see everything!
Accommodation – Most accomidation will be affordable, especially if you plan to stay in mostly hostels. But, Thailand is definitly the place to splurge! Thailand is known to have amazing accommodation for great value. You can find 3-5 star resorts for amazing prices!
Food – As a veggie eater I really enjoyed the local food! The local food is usally very cheap as well.
Transportation – My suggestion to getting around is via scooter exploring on foot if possible. Unfortunatley, you do need an international license to drive a scooter. If you don’t have one then I suggest using public transportation. There are always numerous ways to get from place to place in Thailand, usually by minivans, bus, or ferry. You can also use the transportation app Grab!
Suggested daily budget – 20-30 USD (Note: This is a suggested budget assuming you’re staying in a low to mid range guest house/hostel, eating local, and using local transportation. Using the budget tips below, you can always lower this number. However, if you stay in fancier accommodation or eat out more often, expect this to be higher!) Although Thailand is known for being extremely cheap, I did not really experience this especially if you go to the islands or any hotspots. Activities and food seemed to be priced .
TIP– Be careful of renting a scooter in Thailand, sometimes the police will fine you for not having an international license!
